(this moment) & Keeping it Real

A Friday ritual. A single photos - no a few words - capturing a moment from the week.
A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
If you're inspired to do the same, link your 'moment' in the comments for all to find & see.

"Avi make star. Do it myself"

This week, I'm also joining monica with:

Keeping it Real #6

blah:
High Park fire :: 46,820 acres, 118 structures burned, 31 homes destroyed, only 10-15% contained.
Missing bootcamp one day this week :: feeling the grumpy effects of it.
Late nights and early mornings :: nobody's fault but my own.
Anxiety about upcoming 8 hour flight with almost 2 year old.
Missing a friend's birthday.

yay:

Leaving Sunday for a week in Hawaii.

Healthy family, healthy chickens, healthy garden.
Avi singing in the car
Dinner with friends.
Avi talking about his friends: "Play trains with Ella, share", "Zinnia coming over, play together", "[go] Carter's house", "Amina, Kiren, sleeping at home".
A sweet moment before dinner to connect, say hello and welcome home to my wife who had been home for over an hour. (Accepting the chaos of life with kiddos).
Rain!!! Rain to help the 1,300 firefighters working so hard. Rain! Rain! Rain!

  3. Oh that fire! They say it could be months now that it's jumped the Poudre. I thought the same thing last night when I heard the rain. Sweet moment. Avi's looking a bit like a college freshman with those long bangs and polo shirt - he's going to be a heart breaker.

  4. He's done a really great job of working out the angles of a star. We have a fire too. bummer. Do you remember about 12 years ago in NM when we had a fire so big it could be seen from space? I can't remember a single summer of my whole life without fire.

  5. Great picture of Avi. Yikes on the fires, hoping for more rain out your way.

Enjoy your weekend and have a great trip, can't wait to hear all about it.

    Travel safe.
