signs of spring

Avi and I walked through the yard to spy what is coming up.
This is what we found....

Mint
Irises
Strawberries
Rhubarb
Daffodils

Then we started a bit of bed clean-up.

"Compost, Compost", Avi repeated...
...as he filled the wheelbarrow...
with "leaves and sticks".
"Push it"
"Ride"
My great helper!

I am in love with the change of seasons!
I am loving these signs of spring!!
And I am in love with the fact that 'compost' is a concept that Avi is learning so young.

  6. Yay!! the weather has been amazing!!! I can't tell you how exciting it is for me to see crocuses! And all these other flowers that are blooming on this property (not sure what they are, but they are perty!) Is Spring really here? The kids are hoping for one more snow storm, just so they can see it :). We took them up to Eldora once already, we may have to again before the season ends I guess so they can get their fix ;). You'll have to send me your email friend so I can tell where we have found a place to settle for awhile!!
