This past weekend we got some much needed respite from the heat wave and the forest fires, with rain. And lots of it. Certainly a blessing, however, the monsoon like patterns of rain can cause mudslides and flash flooding in the burn areas. Thank goodness it hasn't been too severe yet. Meanwhile, this weekends chores were done in long sleeves and a raincoat. We weren't complaining.
:: gathering salad greens in the pouring rain. (ahhh, the rain!)
:: he helped plant the seeds, harvest the greens, and spin our salad dry.
:: fresh herbs from the garden for tonight's dinner.
:: a little nervous about the thunder, Avi decided to stay close on Ema's back....
:: ...and eat dinner on Mama's lap - with the curtains closed. wink.
What's the weather in your neck of the woods?
Yay for rain. So gad to hear you got a good soak. We finally had some rain on Saturday, along with no hydro thanks to some lightening, but hey the rain was welcome and we needed it.
ReplyDeleteWe are in to cooler temps this week, which is lovely after the last few weeks. Suppose to have the heat back by the weekend.
Glad you guys are enjoying the cooler temps too! :)
DeleteLoving the rain! Loving.
ReplyDeleteyou said it sister!
DeleteWe had a little rain the other day but only 10 minutes. There is cloud build up everyday, but it just goes right around us. It makes me so thirsty. I'm glad to hear the fires are under control. :)
